7) Top Ten Ways to ensure a timely commission

1) Placing an order for a commission:

There are two ways to place an order with BushyCat. Come find me at your nearest Furry convention. I usually have a table and will take a limited number of commissions on site (about 15). There are currently 10 slots open in my November mail order que.  Email me at  YoridenGi@aol.com if you wish to place an order.

Price: Averages 30 - 60$ US depending on number of characters and complexity of design. Black and white is also available. I do adult and G-rated commissions, badges, tails, sketchbooks, T-shirts and canvases. New this year: Get your character in wood.

Average delivery time is 2-6 months from payment. Full payment is required prior to delivery. Contact me via email for further details. (items ordered at cons are often finished on-site, especially things like sketchbooks and tails)

Delays: I try not to let anything drag past a year, because it's not fair to the customer. Uber-projects and complicated stuff does take some time. See Refund Policies section regarding delayed artwork.

A preliminary sketch will be sent to you for approval before inking. Just keep in touch, remind me now and then, supply character details, and I will get your art to you.

2) Content Guidelines:

I usually draw furry stuff - anthro, feral, toony... whatever you like. I also draw some anime style characters and more realistic-looking animals. Most color is done with Prismacolors and Sakura pens. Badges are 3x4", commissions are 8.5 x 11" unless indictaed otherwise. Things I do NOT draw, will not draw and cannot be paid enough to draw are:

Kiddy porn, or characters appearing to be underaged in sexual acts.
This is wrong on so many levels....

Beastiality (human-on-critter action)    Humans with sentient, obviously anthropomorphic characters are ok.

Violent, Gorey scenes or acts of gruesome torture.

Shit, scat, piss, or vomit play. (yes.... it's real!!)

DON'T ask me to draw in someone else's style... I hate that. If you like another artists' artwork, please go buy from them. I won't copy.

Do NOT approach me, ask me to come up with a great idea for a picture, and then announce that you're going to have someone else draw my idea for you. *THROTTLES!!*  That's a slapping offense, kids!

Most everything else is a go, including bondage, gay, bi, macro, fatfurs, domination, females, spooge, etc.....   If in doubt, ask. The worst I can do is say "no".

3)Refund Policies

Currently, I have no refund policy. Here's why:
I have been repeatedly victimized by people who place an order and then whine and plead "financial hardship." Happened three times last year. On more than one occassion, it turned out that someone just wanted their money back so they could spend it on something else. So...  no more Mrs. Nice Lady on this. I've given refunds to people that should never have had them.

I have no use for people like that. So, please....  budget your money. If you don't have the $$ for something now, that's fine. You can browse my site, look at my stuff at cons and you can still hang out and have a burger with me. Save your pennies and spend them when you can afford it. I will understand.

EXCEPTIONS:
Effective only for orders placed January 01, 2009 or later

A refund will usually be given if more than 18 months passes without delivery, unless more time has been allotted by the customer to complete a large project. Or if the finished art really stinks and I don't get it right the second time (don't abuse this one)

4) Feeling Forgotten?

Sometimes life happens. Artwork can be delayed by other work, illness, business travel, house maintenance, balky computers, medical emergencies, or by the fact that you are one of 50 people in the que awaiting artwork. If you are waiting for artwork and you feel it is taking too long, please conatact me by email and speak to me politley. Sometimes emails bounce, people move, and flooding happens. I lost a lot of my order paperwork in '06 due to a flash flood =P. Sometimes, people disappear into the on-line ether and cannot be found. I hope some of you will bubble to the surface after reading this section. I have some orphaned artwork laying around waiting to be claimed. Refunds are not offered, but I will get your artwork to you if you can just contact me. If you feel there is a problem with your order, please email me and we will discuss it like adults. Thanks. It really helps.

Here is a list of the Lost Boys....  if this is you, tap me.

6) Top 10 Ways to Delay Your Commission

1) Disappear. Fall out of touch, change adresses without telling me, ignore my emails and inquiries.

2) Order something through the mail and forget to give me an email adress

3) Forget to include shipping on orders

4) Send me an email reading: "Hi. I ordered art from you at a con. How is it coming? Thanks. (insert anonymous furry name)" I get one like this every month. Checking your status is great....  but please tell me what you ordered, and when. (=

5) Send me a non-working link or an uberfile for reference. My comp is old.

6) Slam my reputation on Live Journal! That one always works.

7) Threaten and belittle me via email to make me "hurry up". Argue with me over price. Call me lazy and selfish. Act childish and insult me. Tell others that I suck. Oh yeah...  it works great in slowing things down.  (the two losers that did this know who they are, and they can eat pig vomit)

8) *ahem* Give me an incomplete or incorrect shipping adress. Now and then, something comes floating back. Please doublecheck.

9) Ask for something really complex. I love doing big projects, but they will take longer if you want them to look right. Again, patience....

10) Forget to give me a deadline and then piss at me when I "fail to deliver on time"  If ya gotta have it on a certain date... gimme the date!

11) (like Spinal Tap)  Best Way to create a delay:  BUG ME!! Email me constantly, IM me every time I go on line, ask me every hour at a con if it's done yet. Harrass me lots. This method will get you results, but not the ones you want. Reminding me twice in a day at a con is often enough. Asking about an order twice a month on mail orders is also enough. Thanks. Most people don't do this, but I've had a few winners....

7) Top Best Ways to Ensure Timely completion of an Order

1)Stay in touch. (not to be confused with bugging me) A polite, monthly reminder never hurts. If I don't email you, please email me.

2) Reply when I send a sketch for your approval. Even if you hate it.

3) Send me working links and small files for references.

4) Please post a positive review for me on Live Journal if you're happy with the artwork you recieve from me.

5) Negotiate any changes you would like made to a sketch before I ink it. I can make mistakes, and I don't mind being politely corrected.

6) Send me gourmet coffee, Tuxedo Cats and cookies.

7) Just be a decent, good-natured fur and show some patience.... if we like each other (and I dig most of you guys), doing business will be pleasant.

8) Let me know when your email changes or if you move

9) Payment up front helps. If you need to pay in installments, that's ok.

10) Please include email with any snail-mail orders. It really helps.

11) Make doubly sure I have your proper mailing adress for shipments. I always do a final check before plunking anything into the mail.

12) If you have a hard deadline, like a BirthDay, anniversary, Christmas, please make sure I know it. Email me twice.

Thankyou to the hundreds of furs who have ordered from me in the past....  I always do my best, cuz you guys *are* the best.
